Job Description – SDK Developer (Unity + Unreal), Full-time / Permanent, Edinburgh

Our client is the leading dynamic In-Game Advertising platform for mobile, AR & VR, and eSports games. They are replacing horrible interruptive video and banner ads in games with true in-game brand integrations.

Their customers are leading game developers and publishers who integrate the lightweight Unity SDK into their games, and advertisers and ad exchanges who wish to place their brand messages in front of highly engaged gaming audiences.

You are:

✔️5+ years of experience with both Unity and Unreal game engines

✔️At least 1 commercially released 3D game credit

✔️Energetic, Curious & Articulate

✔️Quick on your feet and fast thinker

Skills and experience required:

Solid C# and C++ programming experience in game development environments is required Substantial experience with other OOP languages is highly desirable
Experience developing in a commercial game development studio over at least one game, either in the game or tools team
Commercial experience of both Unreal and Unity, ideally with at least one game development project on Unreal
Proven track record of product delivery
Fearless attitude – willing to take intelligent risks
Ability to work in a team environment

Role

This is a key role within the development team you will design, develop, and deploy our game engine SDK, a vital part of the service. They have a highly optimised Unity SDK which they are extending with exciting new functionality. They also need to build an Unreal version to the same high standard. You should be able to collaborate closely with other developers and become a core member of an autonomous, cross-functional team.

They’re changing how brands interact with consumers, and how games are monetized via advertising. Their vision is to create meaningful and impactful brand interactions within games, in a manner that is sympathetic to all stakeholders – players, developers, and advertisers. Basically – we want to ensure that in-game advertising no longer sucks.

Their key metrics such as DAU and impressions have grown 100x over the last twelve months, and we’re backed by leading early stage venture funds.
