Position:<\/strong> Standards & Recognition Committee Chair \u2014 The Global Risks Forum (GRF) \/ Nexus Governance System Whole-of-society cooperation depends on a shared language of trust: what has been tested, what is comparable, what can be claimed, what is safe to rely on, and what must be corrected. Without disciplined standards and recognition, the ecosystem collapses into inconsistent badges, performative certification, and disputes that cannot close.<\/p>\n The Global Risks Forum (GRF) stewards the standards-and-recognition pillar of the Nexus governance system. GRF maintains the assurance language\u2014recognition states, conformance levels, evidence quality levels, claim rules, dispute clocks, and correction\/supersession discipline\u2014so outputs across constituencies and regions are auditable, correctionable, and safe for lawful reliance.<\/p>\n The Standards & Recognition Committee Chair leads the committee responsible for maintaining and evolving this assurance language: deciding what recognition states mean, what conformance and evidence levels require, what claims are permitted, and how corrections and disputes are handled\u2014while enforcing neutrality and strict non-execution boundaries.<\/p>\n This is governance\u2014not execution. The role does not accredit vendors for procurement, approve products, provide regulated services, or imply endorsement.<\/p>\n We are seeking senior leaders (typically 12\u201320+ years) with credibility across one or more of:<\/p>\n
Type:<\/strong> Standards stewardship, recognition-state governance, and assurance-language leadership role (non-executive; strictly non-executing)
Board:<\/strong> Committee chairs are considered for Board\/Trustee nomination after serving in good standing
Location:<\/strong> International (distributed, hybrid)
Term:<\/strong> 3 Years
Time commitment:<\/strong> ~15\u201330 hours per month (build-year cadence; surge periods around quarterly recognition cycles, profile releases, and high-scrutiny disputes)
