About the Global Risks Alliance (GRA)
The Global Risks Alliance (GRA) is the world’s first multilateral Business League for Risk Governance and Strategic Finance. Constituted as an institutional membership body, GRA serves as a global convening and capital formation engine for public and private institutions navigating catastrophic risk, systemic finance, policy uncertainty, ESG mandates, and planetary transition.
Unlike conventional trade associations or think tanks, GRA is:
- 100% institutionally governed—each member has a voice in the direction, capital structure, and foresight agenda.
- Clause-governed and simulation-backed—all policy, finance, and membership instruments are machine-verifiable and aligned with global risk simulations.
- Sovereign-safe and treaty-compatible—built to interface with multilateral finance systems, government ministries, and international frameworks (UN, IMF, WB, WTO, ISO).
- Designed for global interoperability—integrating public banks, insurers, ministries, corporations, research bodies, exchanges, and rating agencies.
Our members include sovereign wealth entities, development banks, ESG fund managers, public agencies, risk modelers, insurers, utilities, and regulatory think tanks. The GRA operates as a global business league driving strategic foresight, capital alignment, and resilience financing across the most pressing global risk frontiers.
Role Summary
We are seeking high-caliber Business Development Managers to activate and grow institutional membership across key global regions and sectors. You will lead strategic outreach to ministries, banks, firms, and networks operating at the intersection of risk, finance, policy, and infrastructure resilience. This role is ideal for business executives, former public finance professionals, development agency officers, ESG sales leads, or ecosystem builders seeking to architect a world-class institutional network in service of public interest capital and systemic foresight.
Core Responsibilities
1. Strategic Membership Development
- Identify and secure institutional members across public finance, central banks, sovereign wealth funds, risk pools, global NGOs, utilities, ESG bodies, and infrastructure firms.
- Design tailored membership offerings based on region, mandate, or capital need (e.g. MENA sovereign risk clubs, Asia-Pacific resilience infrastructure, EU AI risk clusters).
- Lead structured onboarding and ensure governance alignment for each new member.
2. Partnership Origination and Ecosystem Expansion
- Broker relationships with industry associations, development banks, standards bodies, and trade consortia.
- Co-develop strategic cooperation agreements with chambers of commerce, export credit agencies, and disaster finance coalitions.
- Represent GRA in key forums, summits, and high-level meetings to build presence and partnership pathways.
3. Program and Corridor Activation
- Collaborate with internal teams to align member participation with GRA’s corridors of deployment (e.g., Green Infrastructure Zones, Pandemic Risk Markets, Digital Sovereignty Tracks).
- Support establishment of national and regional GRA desks, accelerators, and resilience initiatives.
- Facilitate cross-sector convenings to align capital markets with policy risk governance.
4. Account Stewardship and Governance Pathways
- Serve as point of contact for assigned institutional members.
- Guide members through strategic use of GRA platforms and integration with GRA’s Leaders Council, Risk Labs, and Treaty Negotiation Groups.
- Support nomination of member representatives to GRA’s elected board and working groups.
5. Revenue, Performance, and Impact Metrics
- Meet or exceed defined membership targets, sectoral milestones, and corridor-specific KPIs.
- Track conversion, retention, and financial outcomes using CRM tools and standardized reporting formats.
- Contribute to strategic pipeline reviews, growth forecasts, and revenue scaling plans.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in business development, institutional sales, or strategic partnerships—especially in finance, risk, or policy sectors.
- Familiarity with membership-based organizations, global multilateral institutions, public-private consortia, or high-level negotiations.
- Strong understanding of systemic risk, ESG capital, public finance, or resilience infrastructure is preferred.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder alignment skills, with ability to translate technical offerings into institutional value propositions.
- A commitment to public-interest finance, non-extractive growth, and simulation-verifiable governance models.
Compensation and Pathway to Permanent Role
This role begins as a 6-month performance-based contract, with a clear and supported pathway to full-time appointment:
- Commission-based compensation tied to institutional membership activation and corridor-level growth.
- Performance bonuses for multi-region expansion, high-level partnership origination, and recurring member retention.
- Pathway to Permanent Role with defined governance or leadership track after achieving key milestones.
