Without disciplined standards and recognition, the ecosystem collapses into inconsistent badges, performative certification, and disputes that cannot close.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1009\" data-end=\"1391\">The Global Risks Forum (GRF) stewards the standards-and-recognition pillar of the Nexus governance system. GRF maintains the assurance language\u2014recognition states, conformance levels, evidence quality levels, claim rules, dispute clocks, and correction\/supersession discipline\u2014so outputs across constituencies and regions are auditable, correctionable, and safe for lawful reliance.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1393\" data-end=\"1743\">The Standards & Recognition Committee Chair leads the committee responsible for maintaining and evolving this assurance language: deciding what recognition states mean, what conformance and evidence levels require, what claims are permitted, and how corrections and disputes are handled\u2014while enforcing neutrality and strict non-execution boundaries.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1745\" data-end=\"1898\">This is governance\u2014not execution. The role does not accredit vendors for procurement, approve products, provide regulated services, or imply endorsement.<\/p>\n<h4 data-start=\"1900\" data-end=\"1927\">Key Responsibilities<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"1930\" data-end=\"2065\">Chair the committee cadence: agenda discipline, quarterly recognition cycle deliverables, working group routing, and closure quality.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2068\" data-end=\"2254\">Maintain the integrity of the assurance language: recognition states, conformance levels, evidence quality levels, claim rules, and their consistent meaning across regions and sectors.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2257\" data-end=\"2403\">Ensure recognition is evidence-grounded and record-valid: decisions must trace to documented requirements, proper process, and official records.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2407\" data-end=\"2577\">Approve and maintain standards profiles and recognition criteria: what must be true, what evidence is required, how quality is measured, and how exceptions are handled.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2580\" data-end=\"2758\">Maintain claims discipline: define allowable claims by level\/state; mandate disclaimers; prohibit implied endorsement, regulatory clearance language, or performance guarantees.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2761\" data-end=\"2930\">Maintain correction and supersession rules: versioning discipline, change logs, effective dates, and deprecation schedules; prohibit silent edits and quiet re-badging.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2934\" data-end=\"3119\">Oversee alignment with dispute and remedy pathways: ensure disputes about standards meaning, recognition outcomes, or claims misuse can be resolved through time-bound, fair processes.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3122\" data-end=\"3293\">Coordinate with Integration, Protocol\/Interoperability, and Records\/Register functions to ensure standards are coherent, implementable, and correctly controlled sessions for sensitive matters.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3465\" data-end=\"3653\">Enforce neutrality and anti-capture controls: prevent pay-to-recognize dynamics, sponsor influence, bloc dominance, and preferential access; ensure recusal and COI discipline is applied.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3656\" data-end=\"3802\">Support membership growth and seat completion by strengthening clarity and usability: standards that participants can actually adopt and defend.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3805\" data-end=\"3936\">Sponsor quarterly learning cycles: adoption friction, disputes,
