Spatial intelligenceObservations, models and their uncertainty in one view

Data and technical methods

The public technical tools of Advanced Industry and Robotics: the models and data behind them, how to reproduce a view and the uncertainty it carries.

Data and technical methods: build, test and release in Nexus FoundryA request opens a workspace; data are ingested and validated; the model is built and tested on held-out data; an independent gate approves release with limits; the workspace is stood down and the record kept. Design of the process, not a record of a run.

03Geography

Connected activity in Germany.

Night lights, population density and true-colour imagery over Germany, from NASA GIBS. Each layer carries its own date.

The interactive map needs JavaScript; the layer list and sources are below.

04Fitness for purpose

What every industrial tool should state about itself.

Industrial tools serve safety regulators, plant operators and emergency services. A specialist checks the generalisation of hazardous sites, the incident data source and the automation scope assumed. Tools rest on process safety and robotics and support the process safety and automation topics. Consequence models are used to compare barrier options, not to publish site-specific hazard zones.

  • Generalisation of hazardous sites.
  • Source of incident data.
  • Automation scope assumed.
