A Founding Governance Role in the World’s First Multilateral Alliance for Risk Capital and Foresight Finance

An Era of Systemic Risk Demands an Alliance of Purpose and Precision

The world is entering a decisive period of compound and interconnected risks—climate disruptions, financial instability, technological volatility, ecological breakdown, and rising geopolitical tension. In this volatile landscape, global capital markets, public institutions, and financial intermediaries face a fundamental test: can they mobilize risk-aligned capital, at scale and with foresight, to protect both people and planet?

The Global Risks Alliance (GRA) is being established to meet this challenge.

Headquartered in Switzerland, GRA is a new multilateral business league and capital coordination platform. It is designed to unify financial institutions, sovereign funds, insurers, regulators, pension fiduciaries, and multilateral actors under a common legal-financial architecture for disaster risk reduction (DRR), disaster risk finance (DRF), and disaster risk intelligence (DRI). GRA operates as the capital mobilization and deployment layer of the Nexus Ecosystem and will serve as a lasting global alliance to accelerate foresight-certified capital flows, parametric risk finance, resilience-linked investment vehicles, and anticipatory financial governance.

To guide this mission, GRA is forming its Founding Board of Governors—a select body of respected leaders who will oversee the institution’s long-term governance, financial strategy, and global impact model. Appointments to the Board will be formalized in 2026, following a transparent and merit-based nomination process.

Why This Matters

This is not a symbolic position. It is a governing appointment at a time when global markets and institutions face a credibility deficit in managing systemic risk. The GRA Board will be charged with shaping a new class of global financial infrastructure—one rooted in foresight, fiduciary alignment, and public trust. As a Founding Board Member, you will:

  • Provide strategic oversight and direction for GRA’s global investment and capital formation mandate.
  • Uphold fiduciary and governance duties aligned with international standards and treaty-based cooperation.
  • Shape and authorize key instruments—such as simulation-certified funds, corridor finance platforms, and resilience bond protocols.
  • Ensure the institutional integrity, accountability, and transparency of GRA’s multilateral operations.

You will join a highly trusted group of peers—finance ministers, central bank governors, institutional investors, policy innovators, and foresight practitioners—who are committed to advancing global resilience through disciplined capital stewardship.

Pathway to the Board

To ensure credibility, continuity, and legitimacy, all GRA Founding Board Members will be selected exclusively from among 2025 GRA Leaders Council Members—a cohort of senior leaders invited to participate in the Alliance’s early design, capital strategy, and institutional formation.

Participation in the Leaders Council is a prerequisite for Board nomination.

Leaders Council members will:

  • Contribute to the development of GRA’s legal-financial architecture, corridor mandates, and capital stack.
  • Participate in structured consultations with sovereign, multilateral, and institutional stakeholders.
  • Co-develop frameworks for parametric financing, ESG-instrumentation, and cross-border risk pooling.
  • Establish compliance, auditing, and transparency protocols in alignment with UNCITRAL, OECD, and SDG frameworks.
  • Be formally eligible for Board nomination and vetting in early 2026.

This process ensures that Board Members are not only aligned with GRA’s vision, but have substantively contributed to its institutional foundation and are committed to its long-term global role.

Who Should Consider This

This role is intended for senior public and private sector leaders who meet the following criteria:

  • Deep expertise in sovereign capital deployment, insurance, investment governance, or global financial policy.
  • Executive experience in pension funds, public finance, risk underwriting, sovereign wealth, regulatory bodies, or multilateral development institutions.
  • Commitment to long-term risk-informed investing, ESG integrity, fiduciary responsibility, and anticipatory financial strategy.
  • Ability to lead high-level governance bodies and drive international financial diplomacy with discretion and purpose.

Next Steps

If you are interested in helping shape the governance, investment logic, and global direction of GRA—and wish to be considered for Board membership—you are invited to join the GRA Leaders Council in 2025 as an Affiliate, Fellow, or Patron Member.

Council onboarding will occur on a rolling basis throughout 2025. Members will work through structured planning tracks, participate in capital design sessions, and co-develop corridor financing instruments. Board nominations and legal appointments will commence in Q1 2026 and will draw exclusively from the 2025 Council cohort.
