From enquiry to contribution.

Participation paths: a working group from charter to sunsetA charter sets the question and the code of conduct; members join with declared interests; a workplan produces deliverables that are reviewed and credited; the group reports and sunsets or renews. Design of the process, not a record of a run.

04Contributions that help

What specialists can contribute to industrial work.

Near-miss data, reviews of consequence and barrier methods and experience of introducing automation safely are the most useful contributions. They feed the process safety and industrial robotics topics and are analysed with process safety methods. Near misses are anonymised before analysis, so contributors can share them without exposing their sites.

Near-miss data and reviews of consequence and barrier methods are the most useful contributions.

  • Near-miss data.
  • Review of methods.
05What it means

Participation and its limits.

  • An enquiry receives a reference; it does not create membership, a role or an assignment.
  • Taking part gives no authority, appointment or influence over findings.
  • Conflicts of interest are declared before work begins.

The current service level is R0: information and enquiries. An enquiry receives a reference and names the next step; applications, payments, compute allocations and registrations open only when their team, terms and review capacity exist.
