01In brief

The short answer.

Digital Public Infrastructure publications are the platform's reviewed, citable outputs, such as public digital-system guides, DPI safeguards and interoperability notes. Each carries its authors, date, method, evidence labels and editorial status, and a correction creates a new version with its history. Contributions to series such as Strategic Systems and Exponential Technology also appear in Nexus Reports.

Research and publications: systematic evidence synthesisA question is framed with its owner and a protocol registered; records are searched, screened and checked for eligibility by two reviewers; data are extracted, synthesised and graded for certainty before a brief is written. Design of the process, not a record of a run.

03Geography

Connected activity in India.

For research and publications, in GCRI's spatial-intelligence reading, the map opens on true-colour imagery, night lights and population density with true colour from NASA GIBS, framed on India; every other NASA layer, live feed and forecast waits in the layer list.

The interactive map needs JavaScript; the layer list and sources are below.

04What is published

Every output shows its status.

  • Each publication carries its authors, date, method, evidence labels and editorial status.
  • Corrections create a new version with its history.
  • Series contributions also appear in Nexus Reports; see Publish in Nexus Reports.
05Output types

What DPI publications look like.

DPI publications are safeguards notes and evidence briefs for agencies and regulators, reporting exclusion and continuity findings to improve systems. They draw on distributed ledgers and computing and the resilience topic. Each note states which safeguards framework it applies and which parts of it were assessed.

Publications report exclusion and continuity findings to improve systems and never rank countries.

  • Safeguards notes.
  • Evidence briefs.

Terms used on this page.

Each term as this page uses it. Where a standard-setting body defines the term, the wording follows that body.

TermDefinition
Version of recordThe fixed version of a work that a publisher formally declares published; later changes appear as dated corrections or new versions, never as silent edits, in the sense NISO's journal article versions recommendation uses.
Peer reviewEvaluation of a work by independent experts in the field before publication.
CorrectionA published notice that amends an error in a work whose main findings stand.
Evidence labelA tag on an assertion naming the kind of evidence behind it, such as observed, officially reported or modelled.
