Build the Cryptographic Backbone of Planetary Intelligence

The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI)—a UN-recognized research institution with governance standing across ECOSOC, the World Bank, IMF, and UNDRR—is assembling an elite Founders Council to build the cryptographic, trustless infrastructure behind the Nexus Ecosystem (NE).

We are looking for blockchain engineers, cryptography researchers, and zero-knowledge system designers to architect the systems that enable verifiable compute, clause-bound smart contracts, sovereign digital assets, and agentic accountability across global risk governance systems.

This isn’t theoretical. We are launching global simulations, public finance triggers, and clause-certified systems with real governments and multilateral institutions. We need infrastructure that doesn’t ask for trust—it proves it.


The Problem We’re Solving

AI is becoming autonomous. Institutions are overwhelmed. Trust in digital infrastructure is collapsing.

To govern agentic AI, digital law, and planetary-scale simulations, we need infrastructure that is:

  • Verifiable, not assumptive

  • Trustless, not permissioned

  • Clause-bound, not open-ended

  • Zero-knowledge, not opaque

  • Sovereign, not centralized

You will design the systems that make every computation provable, every trigger traceable, and every decision accountable—whether made by humans or machines.


What You Will Build

As a Founders Council member in Blockchain & Cryptography, you’ll:

  • Lead the design of zero-trust compute protocols, combining verifiable compute, zkSNARKs/STARKs, and distributed consensus.

  • Build and harden clause-enforced smart contract templates for global treaty simulation, anticipatory budgeting, and automated disaster response.

  • Architect on-chain/off-chain hybrid execution pipelines for real-time risk intelligence, capital flows, and early warning systems.

  • Design DID-based identity governance and cryptographic credentialing under the Nexus Sovereignty Framework (NSF).

  • Contribute to the simulation-governed clause lifecycle, embedding legal and financial obligations into blockchain-executable logic.

  • Implement cross-jurisdictional anchoring systems using timestamped oracles from scientific, legal, and financial domains.

This is the cryptographic foundation of agentic governance and simulation-aligned public infrastructure. If it fails, the system fails. If it works, we rewire global trust.


What You Bring

  • Deep experience in blockchain protocol engineering, smart contract architecture, or zero-knowledge proof systems.

  • Proven ability to build or audit systems that involve ZKPs, verifiable execution environments, or distributed key management.

  • Experience with Solidity, Cairo, Risc0, zkSync, SNARK tooling, or L2 rollups is strongly preferred.

  • Bonus if you’ve worked with DID protocols, cryptographic identity, or multi-chain verification logic.

  • You care about public goods, digital sovereignty, and building cryptographic infrastructure that won’t be co-opted or corrupted.
