The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI)
Biodiversity Nexus is published by The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI), a research, development and policy institution. GCRI works across Canada and the United States. This page sets out what the platform is for, who answers for it, what it does not do and where it stands today.
GCRI · Established · service level R0
Biodiversity Nexus is a specialist platform of The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation for biodiversity and nature, climate and hazards, and oceans and coasts. Its mandate covers ecosystem integrity, biodiversity loss and nature-related risks to human and economic systems. GCRI publishes it, answers for its content and takes no decision on anyone's behalf. It is established and works at service level R0, information and enquiries.

The jurisdictions that hold authority over this question: countries, their first-level divisions and capitals, shown for the Maghreb as an example geography for this subject.
The platform exists to produce credible, reusable evidence on the condition of ecosystems, the drivers of biodiversity loss and the consequences of that loss for human and economic systems. It treats nature as infrastructure that societies depend on, and it measures that dependence with stated methods and uncertainty.

The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI) publishes Biodiversity Nexus and answers for its content. Editorial responsibility sits with the platform's expert editor under GCRI's review rules; the publication record, corrections and conflicts of interest are handled under trust, rights and status.
