Learning and communication resources

Nexus Campaigns, a platform of The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI), publishes explanatory material that educators, civic groups and programme teams can use to talk about risk clearly: explainers, responsible participation guides and teaching notes. Every item is published only once its rights are cleared and its sources reviewed, so you can reuse it on the terms it states. Items are added here as each is released. 01In brief

The short answer.

Nexus Campaigns resources are explanatory materials, such as explainers, responsible participation guides and teaching notes, that educators, civic groups and programme teams can use to talk about risk clearly. Each item is published only once its rights are cleared and its sources reviewed, and states the terms on which it can be reused.

03What is published

Three kinds of material.

Explainers

Campaign explainers

Plain-language explanations of a risk, its evidence and its uncertainty, for a stated audience.

Guides

Responsible participation guides

How to involve people with consent, accessibility and safeguarding built in.

Teaching

Learning notes

Notes for educators on risk literacy, community preparedness and responsible AI literacy.

04Rights

Every item states how you may use it.

Before publication, each item records who made it, which sources and images it uses and the licence under which it is released. Where a third party owns part of an item, that part is marked and its own terms apply.

  • The licence and the attribution to give appear on each item.
  • Images of people are used only with their consent.
  • Translations and adaptations must keep sources and uncertainty statements intact.
  • Using an item implies no endorsement of your work by GCRI.
05Quality

How material is checked.

  1. 01

    Source review

A specialist in the subject checks claims against their sources.

  2. 02

    Audience review

The material is checked for clarity, accessibility and cultural fit with its intended audience.

  3. 03

    Accessibility

Material is designed to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA where it is published on the web, with text alternatives for images and plain-language summaries.

  4. 04

    Version and correct

Each item carries a version and a date. Corrections create a new version with the change noted, and the earlier version stays available with a pointer to the correction.

08Questions

Questions and answers.

Can I use these materials in my classroom?
Yes, on the terms of each item's licence, with the attribution it requests.
Can I translate an item?
Where the licence allows adaptations, yes. Tell us at programmes@therisk.global so a reviewed translation can be shared with others.
I found an error in a resource. What should I do?
Write to integrity@therisk.global. The correction is published as a new version.
Why is there no resource listed yet?
Items are released only once their rights are cleared and their sources reviewed. The page does not show drafts or placeholder material presented as finished resources.
Can I suggest a resource that should exist?
Yes. Write to programmes@therisk.global with the audience and the question it would answer. The acknowledgement gives a reference and names the next step.
