Board Member- National Council of The Global Risks Forum
LeadershipBookmark Details
The Global Risks Forum (GRF) is inviting senior executive leaders to join its Founding National Councils for the 2026–2030 build period.
GRF is building National Councils to support the formation of a new global risk management architecture — one designed to strengthen long-term coordination, institutional readiness, and leadership across sectors in response to emerging and cascading risks. Within this model, GRF serves as the convening platform and global-facing stage through which national leadership, institutional coordination, and strategic dialogue gain visibility, structure, and wider standing.
We are seeking leaders from top-tier national companies, financial institutions, public-interest organizations, universities, civil society institutions, and major stakeholder bodies who can contribute to the formation of serious national platforms and long-term governance capacity.
Each National Council is structured through three connected chambers:
- Leadership Council: governance, direction, and stewardship
- Investor Council: financing, capital-readiness, and strategic backing
- Helix Councils: institutional participation across key stakeholder groups
Founding members will help:
- establish National Councils and support their early governance
- contribute to National Desk activation and operating coordination
- support consortium building and national ecosystem formation
- strengthen alignment across public, private, scientific, financial, and civic leadership
- help shape the national foundations of a new global risk management architecture
This role is intended for senior executive leaders with the stature, networks, and public-facing credibility to help lead the policy and institutional campaign needed to secure a national mandate and convene the leadership base around it. Ideal candidates will bring board, C-suite, chair, founder, president, or equivalent standing in major national institutions and the ability to work across government, business, finance, science, and civil society to build support for a fully nationally owned National Council, activate the National Desk, attract founding partners and backers, and help form the nonprofit and enterprise consortium architecture required to position the country within a wider global system for risk-informed financing for development.
Participation may take place either:
- in an individual leadership capacity, or
- as an authorized representative of an organization participating through the relevant Helix Council institutional pathway
This is a serious founding-stage opportunity for leaders who want to join early, help shape the national platform, build strategic cross-sector relationships, and contribute to the governance, financing, and institutional formation of a long-horizon global risk management system.
