Funding and accounts

Who funds The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI), what the money is for and how it is accounted for, published here once each item has a dated record and, for a named supporter, written permission to name it. No funder, amount or statement of accounts is published yet, so this page shows none. The rules that keep funding apart from findings are already in force and set out below.

02What will be published

Four records, each with its date.

Sources

Sources of funds by year

Income by kind of source for each year, once the year’s accounts are approved.

Supporters

Named supporters

A supporter is named only with written permission and a current agreement, with what it funds and since when.

Interests

Declared interests

Interests a supporter or a person in a decision has declared, kept with the work they relate to.

Accounts

Accounts

The accounts of GCRI Canada and of GCRI US, each as approved by its own governing body, kept apart because each organisation has its own legal identity.

03Rules in force

Funding buys no control.

  • No support buys a finding, a ranking, an appointment, consent, a procurement advantage or the suppression of a limitation.
  • Funding and review are disclosed with each publication, and sponsorship has no say in a test result.
  • Reviewers and leaders declare their interests; a reviewer with a declared conflict does not sign the acceptance it concerns.
  • The full rules: independence and conflicts; the yearly account of governance and delivery: annual review.
