Moderated groups where specialists discuss questions in Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Systems. Each group is listed here when its moderation, terms and hosting are in place, with its scope and how to join.
Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Systems subject groups are moderated forums where AI researchers and applied scientists discuss open questions in the artificial intelligence field, such as model evaluation and agentic systems. Each group is listed once its moderation, terms and hosting are in place, with its scope and how to join. A group informs the platform's work and has no authority over its findings.

For subject groups, in GCRI's spatial-intelligence reading, the map opens on night lights, population density and true-colour imagery with true colour from NASA GIBS, framed on East Asia; 3 further NASA layers wait in the list.
The interactive map needs JavaScript; the layer list and sources are below.

AI groups separate evaluation method (how to test), deployment practice (how to scope and monitor agents) and public-service use (what evidence a public body needs), with security specialists in all three.

Each term as this page uses it. Where a standard-setting body defines the term, the wording follows that body.
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Community of practice | A group of people who share a concern or a craft and learn to do it better by interacting regularly; the term comes from Lave and Wenger's work on situated learning. |
| Chatham House Rule | A rule under which participants may use information received but may not reveal the identity or affiliation of speakers. |
| AI agent | An AI system that pursues goals by planning and taking actions with some autonomy. |
| Benchmark | A fixed set of tasks and scoring rules used to compare model performance. |

The current service level is R0: information and enquiries. An enquiry receives a reference and names the next step; applications, payments, compute allocations and registrations open only when their team, terms and review capacity exist.
