GCRI · Trust and accountability
Spatial intelligenceObservations, models and their uncertainty in one view
Everything The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI) publishes is reviewed on method, labelled by evidence type, open to criticism and corrected in the open. The standards for GCRI pages, papers and reports are below: review, method disclosure, criticism and corrections. Institutional influence cannot decide a scientific conclusion. Part of trust and accountability.
The standards apply equally to a web page, a technical paper and a flagship report.
Qualified, conflict-managed reviewers and the publisher accept work on its method, not on who funded or hosted it.
Each finding links to its sources, methods and review, with its uncertainty stated.
Dissent and adverse findings are preserved, and a rejected recommendation receives a reasoned disposition.
Fig.How a reported error is reviewed and corrected. Design, not a record.
Published statistics names a source type, not an endorsement. Missing data is shown as missing, never as zero.
Present tense only for what operates now; planned services are described as designed, as recorded in the claims and readiness register.
No partners, members, offices, counts, fees or results without a record.
No rankings of institutions, no prestige lists and no promotional language.
Not publicity deadlines. A planned report is never shown as released.
Nexus Reports is the Consortium's quarterly publication. What you know about this subject can become evidence, a case or a correction in the next edition, credited to you and published under CC BY 4.0 where it is your own work.
Never send personal data, sensitive infrastructure detail or anything you have no right to share. A contribution is reviewed before use; sending it confers no authorship or editorial rights, and sponsorship never buys a finding.
The current service level is R0: information and enquiries. An enquiry receives a reference and names the next step; applications, payments, compute allocations and registrations open only when their team, terms and review capacity exist.
Maps, data and figures on this site are shown for context and general information. They are not advice, forecasts or warnings; the limits of the information are set out in the Disclaimers and Data Notices.
