Research and evidence
The research behind Health Nexus: the questions it asks, the models and measurements it uses, how uncertainty is stated and how a result is reviewed and reproduced before it is published.
Research and evidence in four parts.
What the research asks.
- 01
Health system continuity
Hospitals, staff, power and essential services.
- 02
One Health
Human, animal and ecosystem interdependence.
- 03
Infectious threats
Outbreak readiness, surveillance and uncertainty.
- 04
Health equity
Unequal exposure and access to services.
- 05
Environmental health
Water, air, heat, pollution and health.
- 06
Health supply chains
Medicines, cold chain and health logistics.
What health research cannot yet answer well enough for decisions.
The health agenda looks at the capacities that decide how a threat becomes a crisis: detection, surge, supply and the social conditions that let people follow public health advice.
- How do hospitals keep critical services running through combined heat, power loss and staff shortage? See health system continuity.
- Where are supply chains for essential medicines, diagnostics and protective equipment most concentrated? See health supply chains.
- Which land-use and animal-health signals give earliest warning of spillover risk? See One Health.
- How does exposure to heat, air pollution and water contamination combine with deprivation? See environmental health and health equity.
- What failure modes do digital health systems add, from ransomware to data loss? See digital health risk.
Every result keeps its label.
Results are labelled as observed, published statistics, estimated, modelled, forecast, scenario or expert judgement. Missing data is shown as missing, never filled silently.
