The Society and Human Development community is the network of social scientists and humanitarian researchers who contribute expertise, review and data to its work on society and human development as well as information and public trust. They take part through moderated subject groups and working groups, and chapters such as Media and Information Systems. Rules apply equally to all, interests are declared, and taking part gives no authority over findings.

Social scientists; humanitarian researchers; demographers; community advocates.
The community joins social scientists, demographers, statisticians, humanitarian practitioners, social protection specialists and representatives of affected communities. They look here for vulnerability evidence that reflects people's own circumstances. Methods include social science and causal inference; topics include human security. Community representatives review how their circumstances are described before publication.

The current service level is R0: information and enquiries. An enquiry receives a reference and names the next step; applications, payments, compute allocations and registrations open only when their team, terms and review capacity exist.
