01In brief

The short answer.

Nexus Campaigns is a specialist platform of The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation for information and public trust as well as society and human development. Its mandate covers public-interest communication, participation and campaign-specific knowledge mobilization. GCRI publishes it, answers for its content and takes no decision on anyone's behalf. It is established and works at service level R0, information and enquiries.

02Canvas

Mandate to authority.

How Nexus Campaigns is governedA mandate sets the platform's scope; an editor and reviewers govern what it publishes; programmes and the community supply the work; the integrity route handles corrections; authority over decisions stays outside. Design of the governance, not a record.

05Publisher

GCRI answers for what the platform publishes.

GCRI is responsible for the content of Nexus Campaigns, for the review of each campaign before it is listed and for corrections. Editorial coverage of the platform's topics requires named subject review, references and relevant independent specialist voices. Campaign managers are named on each approved campaign record, so readers can see who is accountable for it.

Nexus Campaigns is an established platform. Its existing community and published root are preserved, and its activity is substantiated by audit before it is described here. The current service level is R0: information and enquiries. An enquiry receives a reference and names the next step; proposals, registrations and participation open only when their team, terms and review capacity exist.

06Limits

What the platform never does.

  • It issues no warnings or emergency instructions; those come only from mandated authorities.
  • It names no institution, community or person as a partner or supporter without their current written permission.
  • It does not regulate, certify, license or approve any person, product, message or institution.
  • Sponsorship, hosting or funding confers no editorial control; funding is disclosed on the campaign record.
  • It does not use participants' data for marketing, and enquiries are never shared across institutions.

Sector decisions remain with the competent authorities and institutions under their own rules. See campaign integrity.
