01Status

Draft. Not in force.

This document is a draft. It is not legal advice and it is not in force. It becomes required only when the owner adopts it by a recorded decision in nexus-governance. Until then nothing here blocks anyone’s work.

02Declaration

Integrity and COPE alignment

I will not fabricate, falsify or plagiarise. I report my methods and limits honestly. Reports aligns with the COPE Core Practices. Alignment is a commitment, not a claim of COPE membership.

03Declaration

Human subjects and consent

Where my work involves people, I have obtained the approvals the law and my institution require, I have informed consent for what I publish, and I describe the approval in the work. I do not publish information that identifies a person without consent, and I take special care with people at risk, including minority communities and people in conflict zones.

04Declaration

Data ethics

I have the right to share my data. I remove or protect personal data. Data published through Reports are CC0, so I only submit data that may be released that way. I describe the provenance, collection method and known limits. I state clearly if data cannot be shared and why.

05Declaration

Dual-use and information hazards

Global-risk work can describe ways to cause serious harm. Before submission I assess whether any part gives meaningful uplift to harm: operational detail on weapons, pathogens, attacks on critical infrastructure, or targeting of people or groups. I flag such content to the editor. Editors may ask for redaction, staged release, restricted review, or decline. Content that gives serious uplift to mass harm is not published. Items held for this reason are never published (licence policy and Zenodo condition C2).

06Declaration

Responsible disclosure

If my work reveals a vulnerability in a system or a hazard that needs a fix, I follow the Vulnerability and Responsible Disclosure Policy: I tell the affected party first, allow a reasonable time to fix, and publish only what is safe.

07Declaration

Complaints and misconduct

I accept that concerns are handled under the Ethics and Misconduct Procedure and that the outcome may include a correction, an expression of concern or a retraction.

08Declaration

Record

My acceptance is recorded in the acceptance ledger. It is an acceptance record by my signed-in account, not a qualified electronic signature.

09Declaration

Governing law (proposal)

The laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Counsel to confirm.
