Strategy 2026–2030
Strategy 2026–2030 sets the horizon of The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI) within the Nexus Consortium 2030 Horizon, which GCRI leads. It names the milestones that measure progress, the assumptions behind them and the status of each. It promises no dates. A milestone is reached when its record shows it. Part of About GCRI.
Strategy 2026–2030 in four parts.
Four directions for the period.
Reproducible science
Country systems models, methods papers and evidence labels that others can reproduce and challenge.
National capacity
Country programmes that hold their own models, data and trained teams, with portability and exit.
Shared environment
Foundry run as one global-to-local deployment in service of the consortiums, under a strict not-for-profit mandate.
Governed reporting
Quarterly country editions and an annual flagship with review and correction history.

What each step depends on.
- Mandate and correct parties for each engagement.
- People and operating capacity to staff each service before it opens.
- Data and intellectual property permissions, and funding within stated limits.
- Security, safety, accessibility and a route for support, correction and exit.
- Counsel review of the legal instruments each step relies on.
How the strategy is kept honest.
The institutional annual review reports progress, including milestones missed or withdrawn. Every change to the strategy is recorded with its reason. The Global Risks Forum (GRF) and The Global Risks Alliance (GRA) publish their own, such as the GRA strategy for the same period.
