GCRI · Nexus Ecosystem
Reports gateway
Reports is one governed publication programme: quarterly country editions, an annual flagship and specialist series. Each release carries its methods, uncertainty, review and correction history. The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI) stewards the evidence and methods behind every edition. No edition is released yet, so no covers or findings appear. Part of Nexus ecosystem.
Four quarterly questions, one annual synthesis.
| Edition | Question | Boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Q1 State and agenda | What matters this year, and what is the starting position? | Observed baseline stays distinct from planned work. |
| Q2 Evidence and build | What new evidence and capability have been developed? | A configured capability is not a validated result. |
| Q3 Stress test and readiness | What do scenarios and tests reveal? | Simulated loss or performance is not observed impact. |
| Q4 Annual synthesis and renewal | What did the year establish, and what changes next? | Release follows review, not event publicity deadlines. |
The country family is titled Country Systems Risk and Resilience Report, with the country and year.
What a reader can check in every edition, and the conventions behind it.
| Element | Convention | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Persistent identifier | A DOI through DataCite for each edition and data bundle, plus a UNI under the proposed NS-1 | The edition can be cited and found after any website changes |
| Contributor roles | CRediT taxonomy, ANSI/NISO Z39.104-2022 | Shows who did the analysis, who reviewed and who wrote |
| Data bundle | FAIR principles; NS-3b metadata for each dataset | A critic can rerun a figure |
| Evidence labels | One label per figure and table | Observed, modelled and scenario evidence never blur |
| Corrections and retractions | COPE guidance; corrections as new recorded versions | Readers who cited an edition can see what changed |
How evidence enters an edition.
Evidence reaches an edition from the domain platforms, national teams and Labs, through domain review and editorial review. A contributor’s data stays theirs and is named. Reviewers can be proposed by anyone and are appointed with declared interests. Readers can request a correction at any time after release.
Seventeen series in one programme.
Beyond country editions, the programme runs global, regional, sector, strategic-systems, technology, foresight, scenario and stress-test, methods, Labs evidence, Foundry readiness, Observatory signal, Universe synthesis, portfolio, finance-readiness and evidence-brief series. Each has a page under All report series, such as the Methods and Technical series.
What every release includes.
Each release is designed to be readable, citable and checkable, so that a critic can trace any figure to its source and method.
- An accessible HTML edition, and a print or download artefact where produced
- A methods page and a source and rights register
- Reusable figures with metadata, and a permitted machine-readable data bundle
- Review and funding disclosures
- A correction history
Current approved releases.
None. An approved edition appears on Reports with its release record. Corrections appear on Corrections and updates. No one can pay for a favourable editorial position, and no publication outcome is promised. The finance-readiness series is prepared with The Global Risks Alliance (GRA); its own outputs are on Publications and professional briefs.
