Corrections and updates

Every material change to a publication of The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI): corrections, updates, superseded versions and retractions. Each entry names the publication, what changed, why, when and the version that now applies. Earlier versions stay accessible for anyone who cited them. Anyone can challenge a finding; the route is below. Part of publications.

06Questions

Questions and answers.

Why might this page have no entries?
Because entries appear only when a material change has been made. The page does not show planned or hypothetical corrections.
Will the old version disappear?
No. Earlier versions remain accessible with a clear notice, so that citations can be checked.
Who decides whether a correction is made?
The responsible editor or source owner, on the evidence. A complaint about that decision is reviewed by someone not responsible for it.
Are corrections paywalled?
No. Corrections are never paywalled, and browsing needs no account.
How should I cite a corrected work?
Cite the version you used, with its date. If your work depends on a corrected passage, cite the current version and note the change.
