GCRI

Publications

The catalogue of publications from The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI), through GCRI Canada or GCRI US. Each entry appears once, at its canonical address, with publisher, authors, date, version, review state, licence and correction history. Nothing enters before review and release. See the Reports programme and corrections and updates.

02Kinds of publication

Four families, one standard.

Every family follows the same review, attribution and correction rules, so a reader can compare a report, a paper and a brief on the same footing.

Reports

Reports

Country, regional, global, sector and technology series, published through Reports.

Papers

Scientific and technical papers

Research and methods papers, browsable in the research library.

Briefs

Policy research

Bounded implications for competent authorities, under policy research.

03Attribution

One canonical home for each work.

A publication has one canonical URL. Other GCRI pages, specialist platforms and partner institutions summarise and link to it rather than republishing it. When citing, use the canonical title, publisher, version and date shown in the record.

Publications of The Global Risks Forum and The Global Risks Alliance are catalogued by those institutions, for example GRA publications and professional briefs.

04In review

Where the first entries will come from.

The catalogue holds no released entry yet. The first editions of Reports are drafts in stewardship review: each edition page states its evidence close, version and review passes. A draft enters this catalogue when it is released, with its date, version, authors and DOI. See the editions in review.

A draft is cited as a draft; its edition page gives the citation.

06Questions

Questions and answers.

How should I cite a GCRI publication?
Cite the title, the publishing organisation, the version, the release date and the canonical URL from the catalogue record. Cite the version you used, since corrections create new versions.
Are drafts or forthcoming reports listed?
No. Only released publications are catalogued. Planned series are described on the Reports programme page without being shown as released.
Can I reuse figures and data?
Under the licence stated in each record. Third-party material keeps its own terms, and restricted data is never released through the catalogue.
How do I report an error in a publication?
Write to the integrity concern form naming the publication, the passage and your evidence. Accepted corrections are published as new versions.
Who decides whether a work is released?
Release follows domain and editorial review by qualified, conflict-managed reviewers and the publisher. It follows review, not publicity deadlines, and no funder or sponsor can decide a conclusion.
