GCRI · Food Nexus
Trust, rights and status
Who publishes Food Nexus, what is known and how it is labelled, how data rights are protected, and the platform’s current status.
Trust, rights and status in five parts.
What the platform is, today.
- Food Nexus is an established platform of The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation.
- Information and enquiries are open today. An enquiry receives a reference and names the next step; applications, payments, compute allocations and registrations open only when their team, terms and review capacity exist.
- GCRI is a research, development and policy institution. It is not a regulator, and it does not certify, license or approve; its findings carry their methods and uncertainty.
Where food system evidence is most often misused.
- Food insecurity classifications can be politically sensitive; the page reports the classification body’s own findings and does not re-classify.
- Price analysis can move markets if misread; scenario outputs are labelled and never framed as forecasts.
- Household survey data are personal; only aggregated, consented data are used.
- Traditional seed and farming knowledge is cited with consent and attribution.

How a correction moves
Anyone may request a correction without membership; an accepted one becomes a new version, and the earlier version stays on record with the reason.

Status and service levels · Reports · The programme yearDesigned process, not a record of any case: no cycle has run and every programme is at service level R0, information and enquiries. A gate is a programme decision, never a public-authority approval, a certification or a deployment authorisation. The competent authority decides.
How trust is protected.
Labelled results
Every result is labelled by kind of evidence, with its uncertainty.
Data rights
Data is used on the terms its owners set, and restricted data stays restricted.
