01Status

Draft. Not in force.

This document is a draft. It is not legal advice and it is not in force. It becomes required only when the owner adopts it by a recorded decision in nexus-governance. Until then nothing here blocks anyone’s work.

Tell us about a barrier

Email the contact form with subject "Accessibility". Please give:

  • The page address or the file name.
  • What you tried to do.
  • What stopped you, and the device, browser or assistive technology if you know.
  • How you would like the content: another format, a summary, or help completing a form.

You do not need to explain your disability.

What we do

1. Acknowledge within 2 days. 2. Offer an accessible alternative within 5 days. For a PDF this can be an HTML or plain-text version. For a signing screen it can be a no-JS form or help by email. 3. Fix the cause. Target: 30 days for a page, the next release for a PDF. 4. Tell you when it is fixed.

Signing screens

Every signing screen works without JavaScript. Labels, errors and focus are visible. No box is pre-ticked. If you cannot use a screen, write to us and the managing editor will help you complete the acceptance in an equivalent way, which is recorded in the ledger.

Logging

We log each report by network, page and barrier type. The log feeds the accessibility statement and the annual review.

If we do not resolve it

You may raise the matter with the body that enforces accessibility law where you live. People in Ontario may use the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act process. Counsel confirms the wording before adoption.
