Draft. Not in force.
This document is a draft. It is not legal advice and it is not in force. It becomes required only when the owner adopts it by a recorded decision in nexus-governance. Until then nothing here blocks anyone’s work.
Purpose
The Editorial Board is responsible for the editorial direction of IJRG and decides on submissions in nexus-governance.
Seats
Editor in chief, managing editor, section editors (one per desk), data editor, ethics editor. Seats are governance seats in nexus-governance. The public board page reads them, so the page and the record agree.
Duties
Set scope and policy; decide on submissions by majority with a quorum of 3, excluding authors, reviewers and the screening editor; publish decisions with reasons; keep the peer-review timelines; receive the annual integrity report from the Council; adopt corrections and retractions.
Terms
3 years, renewable once. Vacancies are open calls. Members declare interests on joining and each year.
Conduct
Members sign the Editor Charter, the Conflict-of-Interest Declaration and the Editorial Independence Statement, and recuse where they have a conflict. Members serve in a personal capacity, not for a network or sponsor.
Relationship to the Council
The Reports Council hears appeals and oversees policy. No person sits on both for the same matter.
Record
My acceptance is recorded in the acceptance ledger. It is an acceptance record by my signed-in account, not a qualified electronic signature.
Governing law (proposal)
The laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Counsel to confirm.
