National series

Nexus Reports is the governed publication programme of the Nexus Consortiums, published by The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI). Its national series covers one country at a time, in quarterly editions and an annual report. This page lists national editions as each is released. A national report is independent analysis; it is not an official government publication unless the competent authority has authorized it in writing. No edition is shown until it is released. The current service level is R0: information and enquiries.

01In brief

The short answer.

The national series of Nexus Reports covers one country at a time, in quarterly editions and an annual report, listed as each is released. A national report is independent analysis, not an official government publication unless the competent authority has authorized it in writing.

03The series

Two national series.

Quarterly

Country Quarterly

Four editions a year that follow one country's work, published in the Country Quarterly series.

Annual

Country Systems Risk and Resilience

The annual report, titled "Nexus Country Systems Risk and Resilience Report: [Country] [Year]", in the Country Systems series. The fourth quarterly edition may serve as the annual flagship.

04Quarterly editions

What each quarter asks.

EditionQuestionBoundary
Q1 · State and agendaWhat matters this year, and what is the starting position?Observed baseline stays distinct from planned work
Q2 · Evidence and buildWhat new evidence and capability have been developed?A configured capability is not a validated result
Q3 · Stress test and readinessWhat do scenarios and tests reveal?Simulated loss or performance is not observed impact
Q4 · Annual synthesis and renewalWhat did the year establish, and what changes next?Release follows review, not event publicity deadlines
05Official status

Not official unless authorized.

A national report is written by the programme's authors and reviewers and published under the Nexus Reports method. It becomes an official publication of a government only if the competent authority authorizes that in writing, and the edition then says so on its first page. A country profile never implies a government commission where none exists.

Listing a country in a series plan does not mean a consortium, office or government relationship exists there.

No national edition is listed yet.

National editions appear here as each is released. Every claim in an edition carries an evidence label: Observed, Officially reported, Institution-reported, Estimated, Modelled, Forecast, Scenario, Expert judgement and Unknown. Country research profiles are on national consortiums, and finance-readiness questions for countries are taken up by The Global Risks Alliance (GRA) on GRA country readiness.

08Questions

Questions and answers.

Does a national report rank countries?
No. Nexus Reports is not a ranking. Each report describes one country's systems with stated methods and uncertainty.
Can a government review a report before release?
A government can be consulted on facts and can correct errors, as the method allows. It cannot buy or block a finding, and its comments are recorded.
Who writes a national report?
Named authors and reviewers with declared conflicts, following editorial governance and methods and publication process.
How do I report an error in a national edition?
Write to integrity@therisk.global. Corrections are published as new versions.
