Research and publications: an edition from outline to correctionAn outline is agreed; chapters are drafted; every value is traced in the data check; peer reviewers with declared conflicts review; the editor decides; the edition is released with an identifier and corrected only by new versions. Design of the process, not a record of a run.

01In brief

The short answer.

Systemic Risk Management publications are the platform's reviewed, citable outputs, such as systems-risk primer, dependency analyses and decision-method guide. Each carries its authors, date, method, evidence labels and editorial status, and a correction creates a new version with its history. Contributions to series such as Scenario and Stress-Test as well as Methods and Technical also appear in Nexus Reports.

02Geography

Hazards and exposure in Asia.

For research and publications, in GCRI's spatial-intelligence reading, the map opens on true-colour imagery and land cover with true colour from NASA GIBS, framed on Asia; every other NASA layer, live feed and forecast waits in the layer list.

The interactive map needs JavaScript; the layer list and sources are below.

03What is published

Every output shows its status.

  • Each publication carries its authors, date, method, evidence labels and editorial status.
  • Corrections create a new version with its history.
  • Series contributions also appear in Nexus Reports; see Publish in Nexus Reports.
04Output types

What risk management publications look like.

Publications are method-first: how a risk was identified, analysed and evaluated, with the scenario set and dependency assumptions attached, so another register owner can reproduce or adapt the analysis.

  • Method notes on risk assessment.
  • Scenario sets for public registers.

06Key terms

Terms used on this page.

Each term as this page uses it. Where a standard-setting body defines the term, the wording follows that body.

TermDefinition
Version of recordThe fixed version of a work that a publisher formally declares published; later changes appear as dated corrections or new versions, never as silent edits, in the sense NISO's journal article versions recommendation uses.
Peer reviewEvaluation of a work by independent experts in the field before publication.
CorrectionA published notice that amends an error in a work whose main findings stand.
Evidence labelA tag on an assertion naming the kind of evidence behind it, such as observed, officially reported or modelled.
07Sources
