8.1Fleets, platforms and learned control
Industrial robots are an established fleet. Humanoid and learned-control platforms are new, and evidence for them rests on preprints, analyst estimates and company statements.
| Component | State | Evidence | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Industrial robots | installations up 11% in 2025; stock 5 million | 12 | Reported |
| Generalist policies | pooled data and shared policies published; company papers report vision-language-action models | 7891011 | Reported |
| Household tasks | a benchmark of 1,000 activities states that long-horizon tasks remain hard | 1226 | Reported |
| Humanoid platforms | about 16,000 installations in 2025 by one estimate; production started at one company | 13152728 | Reported |
Couplings
