The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI)
The global series of Nexus Reports, published by The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI), examines risks that cross countries, sectors and systems: how failures in one part of the world economy, environment or infrastructure propagate to others. This page lists global, sector and strategic analyses as each edition is released. No edition is shown until it is released. The current service level is R0: information and enquiries.

The global series of Nexus Reports examines risks that cross countries, sectors and systems: how failures in one part of the world economy, environment or infrastructure propagate to others. Global, sector and strategic analyses are listed as each edition is released.
Where people and networks concentrate, the exposure through which shocks travel between systems, shown for Asia as an example geography for this subject.
Analysis starts from dependencies between systems, not from one universal risk score.
Each source is registered with its authority and limits, and each claim carries an evidence label.
Scenarios are labelled as scenarios, and model results as model results, with their assumptions.
Editions pass domain and editorial review under methods and publication process, and corrections create new versions.
Field platforms of GCRI contribute evidence on their systems; Water Nexus and Energy Nexus, for example, contribute to the sector series. The Global Risks Forum (GRF) contributes governance analysis, and The Global Risks Alliance (GRA) contributes sector-level financial understanding, published on GRA sector reports. Every contribution follows the same method.
Each term as this page uses it. Where a standard-setting body defines the term, the wording follows that body.
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Systemic risk | Risk arising from the interactions and dependencies within and between systems, where a shock can propagate and threaten the functioning of the whole. |
| Cascading risk | Risk that a failure in one system or component triggers failures in others that depend on it. |
| Interconnectedness | The links among institutions through exposures, holdings and services that let stress pass between them. |
Editions appear here as each is released, with its methods page, source and rights register, reusable figures, permitted data, review and funding disclosures and correction history. Each edition carries a permanent identifier and a version, so later corrections can be traced to the version they replace.
A global analysis is not a ranking of countries or institutions, and it uses no third-party risk index names; Nexus indicators use GRIx-native names and units.
The current service level is R0: information and enquiries. An enquiry receives a reference and names the next step; applications, payments, compute allocations and registrations open only when their team, terms and review capacity exist.
