Public data and datasets
Datasets The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI) has released for public use, and the sources it relies on where their terms allow listing. Each entry shows owner, licence, lineage, time coverage and known limits. Only rights-cleared data appears. Private records, personal data, restricted infrastructure detail and protected community knowledge never do. Part of the research library.

What every entry states.
A dataset without its context is easy to misuse. Each record carries the information needed to use it correctly.
| Field | What it records |
|---|---|
| Owner and source | Who produced the data and who holds authority over it |
| Licence | The terms of reuse, described on rights and licences |
| Lineage | How the data was derived, processed and versioned |
| Coverage | Places, period and resolution covered |
| Evidence label | Observed, published statistics, estimated, modelled or other |
| Limits | Known gaps, biases and appropriate uses |
The standards a released dataset record follows.
| Part of the record | Standard | Reference |
|---|---|---|
| Catalogue entry | DCAT version 3; DataCite metadata | W3C, 2024; DataCite |
| Spatial and temporal assets | STAC; ISO 19115-1 | Community specification; ISO, 2014 |
| Lineage | PROV-O | W3C, 2013 |
| Documentation | Datasheet for the dataset | Gebru and others, 2021 |
| Repository trust | CoreTrustSeal requirements, where a repository is used | CoreTrustSeal board |
| Identifier | UNI and dataset metadata under the proposed NS-1 and NS-3b | Nexus Standards |
Released datasets feed the data bundles of Reports. Data owners can offer a dataset through the Secretariat; terms, sensitivity and the owner’s name are recorded before anything is listed.
Data that never appears here.
Personal data
No personal information about individuals, including participants and enquirers.
Sensitive detail
No restricted infrastructure topology or security-sensitive locations.
Community knowledge
No protected community or Indigenous knowledge without the rights-holders’ agreement.
Read the limits before the numbers.
A dataset answers the question it was built for. Before using one, check its coverage, resolution, evidence label and known gaps, and whether it combines with your other sources without changing meaning. Carry reported uncertainty into your results. Never present modelled or estimated data as observed.
Stewardship behind the collection.
Data is organised under NXS-GRX (canonical data, provenance and risk) and data, with source rights that persist through every product. Methods for stewardship are described at data engineering, interoperability and stewardship. Methods papers that explain how datasets were built are in methods and technical papers.
Original source authority is retained. Programme estimates stay labelled as estimates and never replace published statistics.

Reports is the Consortium’s quarterly publication. What you know about this subject can become evidence, a case or a correction in the next edition, credited to you and published under CC BY 4.0 where it is your own work.

Never send personal data, sensitive infrastructure detail or anything you have no right to share. A contribution is reviewed before use; sending it confers no authorship or editorial rights, and sponsorship never buys a finding.

Information and enquiries are open today. An enquiry receives a reference and names the next step; applications, payments, compute allocations and registrations open only when their team, terms and review capacity exist.
