Institutional relationships
The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI) names a collaboration only with a current record and permission to publish it. A visit, a meeting or an exchange of letters does not make an institution a partner. A logo is not a record. The relationships that structure the programme, and the terms for taking part, are below. Part of About GCRI.
Institutional relationships on the record.

Relationships that structure the programme.
| Relationship | Nature | Boundary |
|---|---|---|
| The Global Risks Forum (GRF) | Pillar institution leading leadership, dialogue and Universe governance | A separate Swiss association with its own instruments |
| The Global Risks Alliance (GRA) | Pillar institution leading the finance, insurance and development-readiness interface | A separate United States institution; it does not lend, underwrite, rate or invest |
| GCRI US | The United States institution of GCRI | A separate organisation with its own legal identity |
| The technology developer and infrastructure operator | Intended licensor of the Foundry code and intellectual property to GCRI Canada for public-good, not-for-profit operation | Does not operate the service, determine the purposes of processing or direct programme decisions |
How the three pillar institutions divide their work is set out on GCRI, GRF and GRA.
How other institutions take part.
Governments, UN entities, development banks, universities, operators and civil society organisations take part through defined routes. Each route has a scope, a first outcome and a boundary.
- UN entities and public agencies use their own authorised instruments; participation creates no UN endorsement.
- Universities and research institutes take part under a research protocol with rights terms and a publication route.
- Operators and enterprises take part under an authorised information scope; membership never permits production access.
- Financial institutions take part through the readiness interface led by GRA; no lending or underwriting is promised.
How the institution is governed.

No implied partnership.
Not partners by default
UN agencies, banks, universities and regulators are audiences of GCRI’s work, not partners, unless a current permission record says otherwise.
Not relationships
GCRI’s statuses in international bodies are listed on Affiliations and credentials. They are not collaborations with those bodies.
Used with permission
A named collaboration appears here only with its scope, its dates and permission to publish.
Propose a collaboration.
Write to the partnership form with the purpose, the scope and the institutions involved. The acknowledgement gives a reference and names the next step. A proposal creates no relationship until the correct parties agree terms. See Public accountability and the institutional networks of The Global Risks Forum.
