The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI)
Where energy, critical infrastructure and climate and hazards are studied as science at GCRI, governed at GRF and understood financially at GRA, with links to each counterpart platform.
Energy Nexus counterparts are the platforms at GRF and GRA that work on the same fields under other mandates, among them Diplomacy Nexus and Climate and Nature Governance at GRF as well as Insurance Nexus and Banking Nexus at GRA. GCRI studies a field as science, GRF governs it and GRA builds shared financial understanding of it, so each counterpart shows another side of energy.
Fig.How GCRI, GRF and GRA share one field while the authorities decide. Design, not a record.
Energy security policy and cooperation are governance questions at GRF. The financing of grids and generation, and the exposure of banks and insurers to energy transition, sit with GRA. Energy Nexus supplies the engineering and system evidence; for nuclear and radiological matters it also links to the nuclear and radiological safety chapter.
Each term as this page uses it. Where a standard-setting body defines the term, the wording follows that body.
