Senior experts, reviewers, practitioners, early-career researchers, students and volunteers can contribute to the work of The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI) through bounded, supervised assignments where responsibility follows competence. Most contributions happen through the National Working Groups (NWG), with stated prerequisites, review points and closure criteria. Each contributor receives a record of their contribution, and students and volunteers receive a mentor and a learning plan. This page is part of Work with GCRI.

Experts, volunteers and students contribute to GCRI's work through bounded, supervised assignments in which responsibility follows competence, mostly within the National Working Groups. Each assignment has stated prerequisites, review points and closure criteria, and each contributor receives a record of the work.

| Practitioners | Operational knowledge, testing and validation | A defined task with a supervisor |
| Students and early-career researchers | Supervised research and data tasks | A safe task, a mentor and a learning plan |

A named supervisor, and no unsupervised high-consequence work for students and volunteers.

Assignments end with stated criteria and a contribution record.
