05Programme leadership

Leadership in the programme is a separate pathway.

Individual leaders in national programmes take part through the National Leadership Council (NLC), in personal capacity, selected through a defined process: see the Leadership pathway. The Global Risks Forum (GRF) leads institutional dialogue and councils across the programme: see its leadership and councils. Council standing does not buy office, employment, a board seat or restricted data.

06Governance

Where decisions are recorded.

Accountable roles act within their authorisation. A role holder with a declared conflict does not sign the decision it concerns. Someone not responsible for a decision reviews any complaint about it. Board and governance sets out how each organisation is governed. Public accountability holds decision records, interests and corrections.

07Questions

Questions and answers.

Why are no names shown?
Names are shown only with a current authorisation and biography on record. This avoids presenting titles that a reader cannot rely on.
Who is accountable for privacy?
The Interim Privacy Officer of GCRI Canada, at the privacy request form.
Does a leadership title give authority over national programmes?
No. National programmes hold their own agenda and decision rights. GCRI roles are accountable for GCRI’s own work, records and services, and act within written scopes when they support a national programme.
Can I nominate someone for a leadership role?
Leadership in national programmes follows the NLC pathway. Nominations to GRF councils are described on its nominations page.
