01In brief

The short answer.

Nexus Reports publications are the platform's reviewed, citable outputs, such as report series catalogues, accessible research, and figures, sources and corrections. Each carries its authors, date, method, evidence labels and editorial status, and a correction creates a new version with its history. Contributions to series such as Global Systems Risk and Resilience as well as Country Systems Risk and Resilience also appear in Nexus Reports.

Public outputs: systematic evidence synthesisA question is framed with its owner and a protocol registered; records are searched, screened and checked for eligibility by two reviewers; data are extracted, synthesised and graded for certainty before a brief is written. Design of the process, not a record of a run.

03Geography

Hazards and exposure in World.

For public outputs, in GCRI's spatial-intelligence reading, the map opens on true-colour imagery, population density and land cover with true colour from NASA GIBS, framed on World; every other NASA layer, live feed and forecast waits in the layer list.

The interactive map needs JavaScript; the layer list and sources are below.

Every output shows its status.

  • Each publication carries its authors, date, method, evidence labels and editorial status.
  • Corrections create a new version with its history.
  • Series contributions also appear in Nexus Reports; see Publish in Nexus Reports.

Terms used on this page.

Each term as this page uses it. Where a standard-setting body defines the term, the wording follows that body.

TermDefinition
Version of recordThe fixed version of a work that a publisher formally declares published; later changes appear as dated corrections or new versions, never as silent edits, in the sense NISO's journal article versions recommendation uses.
Peer reviewEvaluation of a work by independent experts in the field before publication.
CorrectionA published notice that amends an error in a work whose main findings stand.
Evidence labelA tag on an assertion naming the kind of evidence behind it, such as observed, officially reported or modelled.
