The Digital Public Infrastructure community is the network of GovTech researchers and standards engineers who contribute expertise, review and data to its work on digital public infrastructure as well as cyber and digital resilience. They take part through moderated subject groups and working groups. Rules apply equally to all, interests are declared, and taking part gives no authority over findings.

Added as sub-communities form
The community joins identity and payment engineers, data protection specialists, public service designers, inclusion advocates and regulators. They look here for safeguards and inclusion evidence. Methods include digital identity and cybersecurity; topics include public value. Civil society organisations representing excluded groups take part in reviewing findings.
Each term as this page uses it. Where a standard-setting body defines the term, the wording follows that body.
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Community of practice | A group of people who share a concern or a craft and learn to do it better by interacting regularly; the term comes from Lave and Wenger's work on situated learning. |
| Conflict of interest | A situation in which financial, professional or personal interests could compromise, or appear to compromise, judgement in research or review. |
| Personal data | Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, directly or indirectly, such as a name, an identification number, location data or an online identifier, as the EU General Data Protection Regulation defines it. |
| Digital identity | A set of attributes and credentials that lets a person prove who they are in digital transactions. |

The current service level is R0: information and enquiries. An enquiry receives a reference and names the next step; applications, payments, compute allocations and registrations open only when their team, terms and review capacity exist.
