Trust, rights and status

Who publishes Digital Public Infrastructure, what is known and how it is labelled, how data rights are protected, and the platform's current status.

01In brief

The short answer.

Trust, rights and status at Digital Public Infrastructure is the public record of who publishes the platform, how its results are labelled, how data rights are protected and what the platform is today. The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI) publishes it and controls the personal data it holds. Being named, listed or published on the platform is not an endorsement, certification or approval.

How a correction moves on Digital Public InfrastructureA report is acknowledged and triaged; a reviewer not involved in the original work assesses it; the outcome is a new version with its history or a reasoned decline, and the reporter is told either way. Design of the workflow, not a record.

03Geography

People and exposure in India.

For trust, rights and status, in GCRI's spatial-intelligence reading, the map opens on night lights, population density and true-colour imagery with true colour from NASA GIBS, framed on India; every other NASA layer, live feed and forecast waits in the layer list.

The interactive map needs JavaScript; the layer list and sources are below.

04Status

What the platform is, today.

  • Digital Public Infrastructure is in development. Its pages set out its scope and how it works, and its activities, records and services are published here as each one opens.
  • The current service level is R0: information and enquiries. An enquiry receives a reference and names the next step; applications, payments, compute allocations and registrations open only when their team, terms and review capacity exist.
  • GCRI is a research, development and policy institution. It is not a regulator, and it does not certify, license or approve; its findings carry their methods and uncertainty.
05Integrity in this field

Where DPI evidence is most often misused.

  • No personal data from DPI systems are used.
  • Exclusion findings are reported to help fix systems, not to rank countries.
  • No vendor is recommended.
  • Security details are not published.

07Privacy and accessibility

Your data and your access.

Enquiries are used to answer them and to keep a record. The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation is the controller under its own privacy notice; write to privacy@therisk.global.

We aim to make these pages usable by everyone. If something is hard to use, write to contact@therisk.global and tell us the page and the barrier.

08Key terms

Terms used on this page.

Each term as this page uses it. Where a standard-setting body defines the term, the wording follows that body.

Evidence labelA tag on an assertion naming the kind of evidence behind it, such as observed, officially reported or modelled.
Personal dataAny information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, directly or indirectly, such as a name, an identification number, location data or an online identifier, as the EU General Data Protection Regulation defines it.
Claim ceilingThe strongest statement a page may make about a capability, set by the evidence on record; without operating evidence a page describes a design or an integration, never readiness.
Conflict of interestA situation in which financial, professional or personal interests could compromise, or appear to compromise, judgement in research or review.
