Jobs and calls

Roles, assignments and calls for experts at Agency, the technical assistance platform of The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI), are listed here with their terms before applications open. No role or call is listed yet. Each listing will name the engagement type, the work, the time it takes, the closing date and how selection works. Applications go through the job application form; experts who want to be considered for assignments use the expert deployment form.

No role or call is listed yet.

A listing appears here only when the role, its terms and the people who will select are in place. Nothing on this page is a promise of work, and an application is not an appointment.

Engagement types differ in rights, duties, pay, cover and ownership of work. Agency sets them out on volunteer and professional roles.

03Each listing

What a listing states.

  1. 01

    Engagement type

Staff post, consultancy, secondment, internship or volunteer role, named once and kept in the written terms.

  2. 02

    The work

The institution served, the problem, the expected result and what stays with the institution after the assignment.

  3. 03

    Time and place

Duration, expected hours and where the work happens.

  4. 04

    Closing date and selection

The date applications close, the criteria used and who decides.

  5. 05

    Terms

Pay or its absence, insurance and duty of care, and who owns the work produced.

04Selection

How an application is handled.

  1. 01

    Application

The form asks for evidence of competence for the role, not a fee or a membership.

  2. 02

    Interests declared

Applicants declare interests before an assignment; a conflict is managed, or the person does not take part in that work.

  3. 03

    Decision recorded

The decision and who took it are recorded against the listing.

  4. 04

    Written terms

Work starts only under written terms that state the engagement type.

05Fair and safe

Applicants are treated fairly and their data is protected.

  • Everyone who takes part, including experts, volunteers and staff, is covered by safeguarding and fair process.
  • Applications are personal data, handled as set out in privacy and data; an application record is kept for up to 730 days and then deleted.
  • Volunteer roles complement paid work with defined tasks and support; they never replace a post the work needs.
  • A concern about a selection can be raised through the integrity concern form.
