Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Systems is a specialist platform of The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI). Its mandate is the technical science of trustworthy AI, robotics-enabled autonomy, the computational methods behind them and their social effects. This page sets out who is responsible for the platform, what it is designed to do, the limits of its role and its current operating state, which is in development.
The platform exists to produce evidence about what AI and autonomous systems can and cannot do, so that operators, reviewers and the public can rely on measurements rather than marketing.
Artificial intelligence, autonomous and robotic systems, and the data and compute they depend on.
AI researchers, applied scientists, safety engineers and public-sector technologists.

The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI) publishes the platform and answers for its content. GCRI works across Canada and the United States.
AI is studied as technical science here, rather than as policy governance, which is convened through AI and Digital Governance at The Global Risk Forum (GRF), or as financial-sector oversight, which is the subject of AI and Financial Model Risk at The Global Risk Alliance (GRA). Keeping the three distinct lets each institution keep its own mandate while sharing evidence.
Nexus Reports is the Consortium's quarterly publication. What you know about this subject can become evidence, a case or a correction in the next edition, credited to you and published under CC BY 4.0 where it is your own work.
Never send personal data, sensitive infrastructure detail or anything you have no right to share. A contribution is reviewed before use; sending it confers no authorship or editorial rights, and sponsorship never buys a finding.
The current service level is R0: information and enquiries. An enquiry receives a reference and names the next step; applications, payments, compute allocations and registrations open only when their team, terms and review capacity exist.
