Topics at Nexus Registry: the pages in this section are listed below, each with its own scope and status.
The Nexus Registry topics are the eight subject dossiers of its field, among them programme status, record provenance, and correction and versioning. Each dossier sets out how the risk develops, what is measured and in which units, the public sources and their licences, the methods, who decides and the limits of the evidence.
GCRI is a research, development and policy institution. It is not a regulator, and it does not certify, license or approve; its findings carry their methods and uncertainty.
The topics follow the life of a record: its status, provenance, versions and corrections, what it registers, its evidence class, who took part, its rights and how it connects to other registries.
Each term as this page uses it. Where a standard-setting body defines the term, the wording follows that body.
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Status attestation | A dated statement by a named owner that a programme's recorded status is still accurate. |
| Data lineage | The traceable path of data from its origin through each transformation to its current form. |
| Correction notice | A published statement that amends part of a record while the rest stands, linked to the original. |
| Digital Object Identifier | A persistent identifier standardised as ISO 26324 that resolves to a work's current location. |
| Evidence label | A tag on an assertion naming the kind of evidence behind it, such as observed, officially reported or modelled. |

The current service level is R0: information and enquiries. An enquiry receives a reference and names the next step; applications, payments, compute allocations and registrations open only when their team, terms and review capacity exist.
