Research library

The research library opens the scientific work of The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI) by topic, programme and source, each item with its methods, authors, review state and licence. It holds scientific papers, methods and technical papers, policy research and public data and datasets. Only released, rights-cleared work is listed.

02Three ways in

Browse by topic, programme or source.

Topic

By field and method

Fields follow the field gateways and methods follow the STEM Commons, so related work meets on shared methods.

Programme

By programme

Work linked to institutional research, national programmes or the annual cycle, with its programme owner.

Source

By source and evidence type

Observed, published statistics, modelled, scenario or expert judgement, with the original source authority kept.

Research library: systematic evidence synthesisA question is framed with its owner and a protocol registered; records are searched, screened and checked for eligibility by two reviewers; data are extracted, synthesised and graded for certainty before a brief is written. Design of the process, not a record of a run.

04Collections

Four collections, one record standard.

Each collection page states what qualifies, how items are reviewed and how readers can reuse them. The library grows without lowering its standard.

  1. 01

    Scientific papers

Research questions, methods, authors and review state, including negative and null results.

  2. 02

    Methods and technical papers

Openly described quantitative and qualitative methods, with validation and limits.

  3. 03

    Policy research

Bounded implications for competent authorities, separated from the evidence they rest on.

  4. 04

    Public data and datasets

Rights-cleared sources with licence information and lineage.

05Boundaries

What the library will not hold.

Personal data, restricted infrastructure detail, protected community knowledge and third-party material without reuse rights stay out of the library. How work is conducted is described under science and methods, and how it is reviewed under research integrity.

Finance-specific research is published by The Global Risk Alliance (GRA) in its research and intelligence section.

07Questions

Questions and answers.

Is there a search tool?
The library is designed for browsing by topic, programme and source. Search features appear only once they work on released records; the page does not present placeholder results.
Can I suggest a source or dataset?
Yes. Write to research@therisk.global with the source, its owner and its licence. A suggestion receives a reference; inclusion depends on rights and review.
Does GCRI publish negative results?
Yes. Research terms keep negative findings and independent scrutiny possible, and a null result is a result.
Who owns the research?
Each item names its publisher and licence. Contributions follow a rights schedule that separates background intellectual property, joint results, third-party material and protected community knowledge.
How does the library relate to the specialist platforms?
Specialist platforms publish field-specific research for their communities. The library gathers released GCRI work across fields and links to the platform that stewards each topic or method, without duplicating it.

Bring a method, a dataset or a question.

The current service level is R0: information and enquiries. An enquiry receives a reference and names the next step; applications, payments, compute allocations and registrations open only when their team, terms and review capacity exist.
