GRF Leaders Council members play a central, agenda-shaping role in guiding the direction, priorities, and global relevance of the Global Risks Forum. Unlike traditional advisory boards, Council members are empowered through a non-executive, charter-based governance model to directly participate in setting annual themes, reviewing strategic programs, and informing cross-sectoral initiatives across risk, innovation, and finance.
Members at the Affiliate level contribute national insights and policy needs via National Working Groups (NWGs), ensuring local relevance and community representation. Fellow members provide strategic input at the regional scale through Regional Stewardship Boards (RSBs), helping align GRF’s agenda with geopolitical and ecological realities. Patron members contribute at the global level, advising on diplomatic frameworks, capital formation strategies, and multilateral agenda alignment with institutions such as the UN, World Bank, IMF, and regional development bodies.
All Council members, regardless of tier, engage in GRF’s hybrid governance process through Nexus Platforms—participating in structured reviews, foresight consultations, clause ratifications, and governance deliberations. This system ensures that every strategic decision made by GRF is grounded in the real-world priorities of its global leadership base, maintaining GRF’s commitment to member-driven legitimacy, planetary foresight, and public-interest governance.
