This plenary will assess regional progress in implementing the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, focusing on achievements and challenges since the 2023 Midterm Review. While considerable improvements have been observed in five of the seven targets (A–E), implementation at the regional level has been uneven, with significant disparities across different areas. The session aims to foster collaboration among Governments, intergovernmental organizations and stakeholders to address these disparities and learn from successful regional efforts. Participants will discuss “course-correcting” priorities towards 2030, identify gaps in DRR, and explore strategies for strengthening regional cooperation, knowledge-sharing and multi-stakeholder partnerships to ensure inclusive and sustainable risk reduction. https://globalplatform.undrr.org/conference-event/msp1-regional-progress-implementation-sendai-framework-and-mtr-recommendations
