Panelists in this session will discuss the digital policies, infrastructures, and resources needed to create sustainable innovation ecosystems in all corners of the world.
Artificial Intelligence has become a familiar presence in our lives, particularly in high income countries, where its influence is increasingly pervasive. But while the rapid pace of technological advancement is reshaping our world in unprecedented ways, this progress is not universally shared. The global landscape remains deeply unequal, raising pressing concerns about whether AI will exacerbate existing disparities or serve as a tool to bridge them.
We’ll ask how we can ensure that AI serves all of humanity and challenge participants to consider concrete actions that can be taken to grow solutions for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This September, the United Nations will host the Summit of the Future, a key moment to strengthen global cooperation and multilateralism for the challenges ahead. Running alongside this milestone moment during the High-Level Week of the 79th UN General Assembly, the SDG Lounge at UN Headquarters will be a vibrant space for #GrowingSolutions to accelerate action toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Convened by the United Nations Deputy Secretary General and hosted by the UN Office for Partnerships, from 20 – 26 September, the SDG Lounge will feature unscripted dialogues, deep dives into vital issues and host interactive experiences—all designed to keep the promise of the SDGs today, tomorrow and for future generations to come.
