The Sendai Framework and its Midterm Review confirmed the value of science and technology in improving opportunities for non-linear sustainable development pathways. Given that we are off-track on achieving the Sendai Framework Targets by 2030, science and technology can play a crucial role in guiding course corrections and helping to leapfrog progress towards achieving Sendai Framework targets and the SDGs.
