Argentina Risks Forum 2025
The Global Risks Forum – National Engagement Series: Argentina is a hybrid-format initiative spearheaded by NWG Argentina, an independent network of national experts, civil society leaders, and global collaborators. Functioning without ties to political institutions or government affiliations, NWG Argentina fosters an inclusive, evidence-based environment for advancing disaster risk reduction (DRR), disaster risk finance (DRF), and disaster risk intelligence (DRI) across Argentina’s diverse ecological, urban, and social landscapes.
This initiative supports the global mission of the Global Risks Alliance (GRA) and Global Risks Forum (GRF) to address systemic risks through foresight, participatory co-governance, and next-generation technology. By mobilizing the quintuple helix—academia, civil society, private sector, government (as a stakeholder), and international organizations—the forum acts as a catalyst for transformative resilience planning and policy innovation.
Strategic Purpose
The Argentina edition is designed to:
- Cultivate national and regional dialogue on climate, environmental, and economic systemic risks;
- Bridge scientific knowledge with public policy and community-based adaptation strategies;
- Support financial resilience through risk-informed budgeting, digital finance, and parametric tools;
- Empower diverse communities—from Indigenous networks to urban municipalities—with accessible risk intelligence and co-designed resilience pathways.
With a focus on tangible impact, the series fosters the creation of operational frameworks, strategic simulation labs, participatory finance mechanisms, and policy prototypes tailored to Argentina’s risk and resilience profile.
Technical Foundation: Nexus Ecosystem Integration
The Forum is powered by the Nexus Ecosystem, an advanced digital infrastructure uniting quantum-cloud computing, AI/ML, geospatial analytics, and blockchain to support adaptive governance and real-time risk coordination. Participants benefit from integration with:
- Predictive analytics and scenario modeling for multi-hazard assessment;
- Digital twin simulations for urban and rural infrastructure planning;
- Earth Observation platforms for dynamic environmental and agricultural monitoring;
- Smart contracts and tokenized finance systems for disaster insurance and anticipatory funding;
- Data governance protocols and ethical AI standards via the Nexus Protocol;
- Risk-informed policy design tools leveraging interactive dashboards and global datasets.
These capabilities support the co-development of scalable, place-based solutions rooted in science, equity, and sustainability.
Governance and Participation
All NWG Argentina activities are independently managed, guided by the ethical and operational principles of the GRA and GRF. The series maintains strict independence from government or political control, ensuring unbiased dialogue and collaborative innovation that center scientific rigor, human rights, and transdisciplinary engagement.
Participation is open to scholars, local authorities, Indigenous communities, financial actors, youth networks, technologists, and other stakeholders committed to resilience and sustainability in Argentina. The series emphasizes horizontal learning, global-local alignment, and intersectional collaboration across disciplines and sectors.
Join the Movement
We welcome researchers, decision-makers, financiers, data scientists, community builders, and innovators to join the Global Risks Forum – Argentina Series as contributors, partners, and change-makers. This is a platform to co-create resilient futures, design anticipatory systems, and position Argentina as a hub for transformative, risk-informed governance—anchored in local realities and connected to global solidarity.
