Dominican Republic Risks Forum 2025
The Global Risks Forum – National Engagement Series: Dominican Republic is a flagship, hybrid-format initiative led by NWG Dominican Republic, an independent assembly of national and international experts. Free from government control or political affiliation, NWG Dominican Republic functions as a nonpartisan space for open dialogue, innovation, and multi-stakeholder engagement in the fields of disaster risk reduction (DRR), disaster risk finance (DRF), and disaster risk intelligence (DRI).
Aligned with the global objectives of the Global Risks Alliance (GRA) and Global Risks Forum (GRF), the series serves as a platform for the quintuple helix—comprising academia, civil society, the private sector, international actors, and public institutions (as stakeholders, not organizers)—to collaboratively explore systemic risks, future-oriented governance models, and scalable resilience innovations tailored to the Dominican Republic’s evolving landscape.
Strategic Purpose
The Dominican Republic edition is designed to:
- Facilitate high-level, nonpartisan discussions on emerging national and regional risks;
- Accelerate the adoption of frontier technologies in disaster resilience and climate adaptation;
- Advance the development of sustainable financial mechanisms and institutional reforms for risk mitigation;
- Engage communities, diaspora networks, and cross-sector actors in the co-creation of inclusive and locally grounded solutions.
All sessions are focused on actionable outcomes—delivering simulation-based policy proposals, anticipatory financing pathways, and risk governance systems rooted in equity, sustainability, and evidence.
Technical Foundation: Nexus Ecosystem Integration
The forum is powered by the Nexus Ecosystem, a modular and AI-enhanced infrastructure designed to support real-time, collaborative risk governance. NWG Dominican Republic engages participants through advanced capabilities, including:
- AI/ML-enhanced risk forecasting models and high-performance computing simulations
- Geospatial analytics and satellite imaging for real-time hazard assessment
- Quantum-cloud hybrid infrastructure for orchestrating digital services and automation
- IoT-integrated early warning systems and multisensor monitoring networks
- Smart contract architectures for pre-programmed emergency action and resource allocation
- Blockchain-backed DRF instruments, including parametric insurance and tokenized funds
- Immersive policy simulation platforms for participatory scenario planning
- Unified benchmarking tools for multi-hazard data governance and risk indexing
These integrated tools enable stakeholders to monitor risks, design adaptive policies, and implement locally contextualized, future-ready solutions.
Governance and Participation
NWG Dominican Republic independently oversees all planning and implementation, in full alignment with GRA and GRF’s global frameworks. The forum is not associated with any government, political body, or lobbying interest, ensuring its activities are led with integrity, transparency, and international solidarity.
Participation is open to researchers, technologists, policymakers, civil society leaders, youth representatives, and private sector innovators committed to forward-thinking, inclusive approaches to resilience and sustainability in the Dominican Republic.

We welcome strategic partners, experts, innovators, and community actors to contribute to the Global Risks Forum – Dominican Republic Series.
