How Future of Work and Skills is governedA mandate sets the platform's scope; an editor and reviewers govern what it publishes; programmes and the community supply the work; the integrity route handles corrections; authority over decisions stays outside. Design of the governance, not a record.

04Mandate

Research on how work and skills change.

The platform exists to give the people who shape labour markets and education a shared, checkable account of change: what is happening to tasks, jobs and skills, who is affected and what responses have evidence behind them.

Field

Scope

Work and skills, with their links to society and human development and to artificial intelligence.

Community

Who takes part

Labour economists, educators, employers, workforce researchers and unions.

Outputs

What it is designed to publish

Future-of-work briefs, skills transition research and learning pathways.

05Publisher

Who is responsible.

The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI) publishes the platform and answers for its content. GCRI works across Canada and the United States.

  • Subject editors review topic pages and outputs before release, and record dissenting expert views.
  • The Education and Skills chapter brings together specialists in education systems and skills formation within the platform.
  • Rights, status and corrections are set out on trust, rights and status.
06Why a dedicated platform

Subject research, distinct from shared learning.

Future of Work and Skills is a subject research site. The Nexus Academy remains the Consortium's shared learning programme and is not duplicated here. Learning pathways published by the platform are research outputs that the Academy and others may draw on; they are not courses or qualifications.
