Daniel is the Head of Audit and Advisory at the Global Fund. He started his audit career with Raiffeisen Bank where he spent almost five years as an Internal Auditor and an Internal Audit Manager. He then spent seven years with Société Générale Romania as Internal Audit Director and General Inspector for three years before joining the OIG. He joined the Global Fund in 2014 and holds the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants(ACCA) Diploma, as well as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certified Financial Services Auditor (CFSA) certifications. He holds an EMBA from Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration and he specializes in risk management, governance, finance and international development. Outside work, Daniel is a triathlete, and avid snowboarder and enjoys outdoor activities.
